Hello, I just bought Illusion of Gaia (cart) and am playing it again. I played it probably 8 years ago, but I don't remember if I beat it or not. I remember I either couldn't beat IoG or Lagoon, or maybe both. I really enjoy this game, and almost all RPG's. I was wondering if there were other RPGs I should look into. Here are the ones I already have. All for SNES btw. FF2+3, Secret of Mana, Zelda, Chronotrigger, Wizardry 5, Drakkhen, Secret of Evermore, King of Draggons, Lagoon, 7th Saga, Inindo, Brainlord, and Dungeon Master. Any others I should look into?
I used to play SNES RPG's with my brother all the time about 8 years ago, and we beat just about everyone we could find. I can't remember half of them, but I want to beat them all again and am looking for them.
Also, I am at the Great Wall in IoG without using an herb yet. How far have you guys gotten without using any?
Thanks for the advice in advance, Keyser Soze

Well to be honest, I'm a bit of a perfectionist, so I just reset the game if I die. I have yet to "officially die" or use an herb. I am now at the Mountain Temple with 9 hearts and 61 points toward hearts (or whatever they are called) and 10 herbs. ;D

The two hardest bosses for me is The Mummy Queen and.. Castoth. Those are the ones I have to use the most herbs for. I think I beat the Vampires without using a single herb once... I haven't tried it, but I bet I can beat Viper with one life point.

I'm surprised no one else has said this game yet but Earthbound. Great RPG for SNES.
Super Mario RPG was also pretty good for the SNES.
also I don't know about any of the other Y's games but I thought Y's III was pretty good.

Woohoo! I just beat IoG without using a single herb! I think the vampires were probably the hardest boss, if I beat them the sedond time and still had 50% health I was happy. I can't wait to get playing all my other RPG's again, so much fun!

Are you... serious...? You beat the whole game without using a single herb? Thats hard to believe. But you beat the Mummy Queen and Dark Gaia without using a single herb?! You must be kidding... Right?

No kidding, beat it all without an herb. The Mummy Queen is actually really easy. She only hit me 2 or 3 times maybe. Dark Gaia is pretty hard at first, but with a couple tries it is easy. This game isn't all that tough, I just wish it was longer. I beat it in about 4 days, playing it a total of about 15 hours (maybe, didn't really keep track). FF2 only takes me 25 hours to beat, and I beat Zelda in about 5 days, playing it for about 20 hours.

That's so cheap to use a game genie, I mean, do you acually feel proud of yourself to beat a game with game genie?
