The villages name is Storkolm. I guess it's some kind of reference to the Swedish capital (Stockholm). A little strange to find it in a Norwegian forest... but who knows the difference between Norway and Sweden...

I'm routinely shocked by how little people make the connection between Terranigma and Biblical prophesy!
Light Ark = Jesus
Light Gaia = God/YHWH/"I AM"
Dark Ark = Jesus without divine knowledge, but still divine.
Dark Gaia = Satan (this point was stressed in the game's text several times). Also, DG appears first as a beautiful crystalline entity and next as a crystalline dragon. Dark Gaia uses light attacks more than any others, and he mentions that he will take "real form" for final control of the world. (Satan/Lucifer is referred to as "the angel of light")
Recall the elder was DG. Ever heard of "Old Scratch"?
Dark Yomi = the "false prophet" mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
Dark Yomi tried to have Dark Elle kill the ressurrected Ark, also a scene from the Revelation.
Light Yomi = the Holy Ghost
Beruga = Antichrist
Beruga was killed by a blade, and none were there to help him. Representatives from the entire world had united against him.
Elle = People of Israel...? "El" is another name of God. Jesus said "eloi" ("My God...") at his crucifixion
Interesting note, recall Light and Dark Arks united into one being upon Ark's rebirth.
Also, Light Ark appeared at Dry Vale, a place of skulls. (Jesus was buried at Golgatha, "the place of skulls". Also, note the five, the five towers/guardians in the underworld... and the five Stigmatic wounds.
"Ark" = In the Bible, a vehicle for God or His will.
Ark's connection to the divine is repeatedly stressed in the ending. Ark may have been returning to Elle to take her as his bride...?
Finally, Ark watches over the world as the ages pass. "I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" - Jesus Christ.

Whoa! That's awsome, I had never even thought of it that way... Of course there are some problems but I defentiley think somebody could have been looking at Revaltions when they made this game... I'll have to look into it more

Ok, again with the punctuation, thanks. I couldn't understand much of that at all. Oh, and Lord Galbalan, the reason that not so many people make the connection between Terranigma and Revelations is becase that not much of the SNES population(ie, under 20 males)are too interested in the bible. I know that I'm not, and, to tell you the truth, I thought that the whole ressurect the world/anti-science bend of these games was a bit too "newagey" for my tastes.

If you advance the towns far enough they have computers and stuff like that, I don't recall any cars though...

Putting cars in would be added effort which would have no positive effect on the game, so is therefore scrapped so that the memory or whatever is put to better use. And dont knock staves, staves are cool.

;DYeah,it's really not a technology game, it's more oriented toward magic and gaia and such. That's why there ain't much tech stuff, especially weapons...

"If I remember it right, Fyda says to Ark, when she first meet him, that she thinks she has met him before... " The Girl in Crysta in front of the weaver's cottage says: "Are you going away Ark? Just like before".
